Pillowcases by the Dozen for Canadian Hospitality Procurement

LyallMills provides pillowcases by the dozen to hotels, motels, Airbnb and short-term rental operators, property managers, and healthcare and long-term care facilities throughout Canada. These pillowcases are purchased in convenient multiples to coordinate room turnover and laundry cycles without creating unnecessary overstock. Our microfibre designs and white bulk materials are ideal for everyday commercial laundry use and ensure a uniform look at check-in time.

Why Choosing Dozen-Pack Units Is Suitable for Procurement Teams

Retail is not the same as hospitality linen buying. Two or more pillowcases will need to be rotated in one room for a pillow to be covered during a laundry turnaround. That need increases rapidly after a building of 50 rooms. Purchasing bulk pillowcases dozen makes it easy to do the math, as one dozen pillowcases covers six standard rooms with a full rotation or 12 rooms with basic coverage.

Our packs of 12 pillowcases are shipped ready to be dropped off to floors or stored in the linen room. Properties do not have to deal with the load of storing full cases at a high price while receiving wholesale rates. Bulk pillowcase pricing is designed by Lyall Mills to reduce per-unit costs with larger quantities, but not to the exclusion of smaller motels or multi-unit Airbnb properties.

Choose Between Cotton, Poly, Percale, and Microfibre

The case's performance after 50, 100, or 200 wash cycles in commercial washing machines is what is important and what pillowcase fabric will determine, not how it feels on day one. There are three constructions in LyallMills:

Cotton polyester

Blends 200 GSM, 60% cotton, 40% polyester. This is the traditional route taken by hotel/motel housekeeping operations. Tumble-dryable at commercial temperatures without wrinkling and can be pressed right from the dryer into the linen closet.

Cotton percale

180 GSM, 100% cotton. A tighter, crisper weave that's preferred in boutique hotel and healthcare facilities where breathable, low-lint fabric is needed near patients or sensitive skin.

Microfibre

120 GSM, 100% polyester. The lightest in the range is a microfibre pillowcase dozen pack. Dries faster than cotton blends, reducing laundry cycle time for high-volume facilities, and withstands repeated bleaching in healthcare and LTC environments.

Available Sizes Matched to Canadian Room Configurations

Most hotel and motel rooms, and short-term rental rooms in Canada, use standard, queen and king sizes. The dimensions are standard in the hospitality industry so the stock of pillows can be used without change.

The same size mix is ordered across Ontario, BC, Alberta, Quebec, and the Atlantic Provinces. A Toronto boutique hotel, a Vancouver downtown hotel, an airport hotel located in Calgary, or an extended-stay hotel in Montreal can have just one or two sizes and still be flexible in the portfolio.

Who Buys Pillowcases by the Dozen?

Hotels & Motels

8 to 12% of the stock is ordered according to laundering contracts, typically monthly or quarterly, depending upon the laundering department, which allows for replenishment of worn and lost stock.

Airbnb & Short Term Rental Owners

The average host using 3 to 5 units has 2 units on the property, 1 rotating and 1 at the laundry service.

Healthcare & Long-Term Care Facilities

Percale and microfibre are more effective than decorative fabrics because they need frequent washing at high temperatures for infection control.

Spas & Wellness Centers

They have less room than hotels, but more turnover per guest visit, so spas tend to order a single dozen sizes and reorder every 6 to 8 weeks.

White Pillowcases Bulk Pack vs Coloured and Striped Options

Yes, we have a bulk pack for our white pillowcases, and about 90% of our orders are for this one. Not only is it a tradition, but it is a procurement reason. At full strength, white fabric will not be prone to colour transfer and fading when bleached in commercial laundering, thus ensuring predictable replacement cycles and a prolonged working life of the case.

Coloured and striped pillowcases come in navy, grey and a cream sateen stripe, often ordered by boutique properties and spas who want the pillowcases to be the same colour as a room package. Coloured units cost a bit more as the bleach solution cannot be used at the same concentration, and a coloured one lasts a bit less in the commercial market than a white one.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order for wholesale pricing?

One dozen (12 units) is the minimum order that qualifies for wholesale pricing.

Can I mix sizes in one dozen packs?

No. All 12 units are made of one size and one fabric. If your property has mixed sizes, be sure to order separate dozens for standard, queen, and king.

How many wash cycles does a cotton/polyester pillowcase withstand?

We have tested our 200 GSM cotton/polyester blend to 150 commercial wash cycles at 160°F with no measurable strength loss.

Can I get a sample before making a full case order?

Yes. To experience the material and see how it will work, customers ordering for the first time can buy just a dozen at a wholesale rate.

How long does delivery take across Canada?

5 to 7 business days to major metro areas and 7 to 10 business days to remote or rural areas.

Is it possible to bleach pillowcases without fading?

White stock only. Pillowcases should not be washed at full bleach strength with coloured and striped fabrics as they will run.

Do you provide healthcare compliance documentation?

Yes. Fabric weight, wash testing and seam strength test-specific compliance sheets are available upon request.

Can I have my own branding on bulk orders?

Yes, if your order is 20 dozen or more per year. Custom branding requires an additional 7-10 business days on standard lead times.

What are the differences between percale and microfibre in healthcare applications?

Percale is 100% cotton and breathable, and is used where there is a concern for skin sensitivity. Microfibre dries quicker and is resistant to repeated bleaching for high-volume infection control laundering.

Request a Quote

If property managers and procurement teams are ready to break away from the single unit ordering process, they can buy pillowcases by the dozen and ask for the fabric, size and quantity they need, based on their location. Usual quote time is 1 business day.
